About the Job:
Offering Management owns IBM's point-of-view on a market space, defining where IBM will play and how it will differentiate itself. Offering Managers are responsible for developing end-to-end offering business plans, leading execution of those plans and they are held accountable for market results (e.g. revenue, profit, new customer acquisition, customer satisfaction etc.) Offering Associates provide critical support to the Offering Managers by performing the market analysis that is essential to decision-making. For example, this might involve:
- Connecting with customers, prospects and other market stakeholders to identify needs, validate market requirements and quantify opportunities
- Performing competitor analysis
- Analyzing the financial aspects of offering development and delivery
- Developing sales and marketing assets in support of launching an offering into the market.
Being an Offering Associate requires a wide range of business, IT, analytical and leadership skills, but it is the first step in an exciting career path that is designed to create tomorrow’s Business Leaders.
