Geographic areas our services cover

ELFT provides a wide range of community and inpatient services to children, young people, adults of working age, older adults and forensic services to the City of London, Hackney, Newham, Tower Hamlets, Bedfordshire and Luton. We provide psychological therapy services to the London Borough of Richmond, as well as Children and Young People's Speech and Language Therapy in Barnet.

In addition, the Trust provides forensic services to the London Boroughs of Barking and Dagenham, Havering, Redbridge and Waltham Forest, and some specialist mental health services to North London, Hertfordshire and Essex.

The specialist Forensic Personality Disorder service serves North London and the specialist Chronic Fatigue Syndrome/ME adult outpatient service serves North London and the South of England.

The Trust's specialist Mother and Baby Psychiatric Unit receives referrals from London and the South East of England.


We are currently looking for a Band 6 OT to join the Dementia Care team. They will be expected to supervise the band 5 rotational OT, complete OT assessments and care coordinate a number of complex cases.
The Dementia Care team works with patients who have BPSD (Behavioural and Psychological Symptoms of Dementia), it is tough work. We are there for looking for someone who has experience of working with this population and understands the complexity and comorbidity of diagnoses common within this population. Our work with patients and carers mainly focuses on supporting them to maintain their independence and quality of life.
The role is full time Monday to Friday 9-5. You will be based in an MDT including psychology, social work, psychiatrist, CPNs and support workers. Knowledge of Rio is essential and knowledge of Mosaic or FWI an asset, but training will be provided. The role of Care Coordination means that you will be expected to complete care packages when required and present cases to the local authority panel. The DCT covers the whole borough of Hackney, so travelling by public transport is required. There is limited parking available. 
We offer monthly supervision and a monthly team reflective group. We are a small tight knit team who are committed to providing the best possible service to this population and their carers. A good working knowledge of MCA 2005 and Care Act 2014 is essential. Applicants must be HCPC registered, and have relevant experience of working in a community team setting.
