About the Job:
A highly regarded product development company in Cambridge area, are currently looking for experienced mechanical technicians to support their R&D teams in several and complex projects.

In this exciting role, you will be part of a multi-disciplinary team of scientists and engineers and you will be helping in the development of new products by using several materials and manufacturing methods. You will prototype and develop new design solutions for a variety of products, whilst you will also work in a laboratory environment, carrying out mechanical testing. 

Due to the above, you will need to have a successful track-record of using CNC manual machine tools and a proven ability of assembling complex prototype products and lab test rigs that include mechanical, pneumatic and electrical systems. 

Successful candidates will also have significant experience of programming and operating CNC mills using, ideally, 3D CAD/CAM, whereas you will be expected to be familiar with conventional and 3D laser systems metrology systems. 
It will be quite advantageous if you hold a HND qualification or equivalent, in a technical, engineering or science discipline, however we are keen to hear from people for build themselves from the ground within fast-pace and challenging environments.
