Mechanical Engineer/ Project Engineer required for a successful and growing Mechanical and Electrical contractor located near Reading, they have been providing a full range of M&E services such as Design, Installation, Service and Maintenance to several blue-chip clients located around London and the Home Counties for over 10 years, they have a successful and impressive client portfolio working with some of the UK’s most known businesses.
The successful Mechanical Engineer/ Project Engineer will be required to run projects from initially enquiry to hand over, delivering mechanical upgrades and new installations on time and to budget, these will include pipework installs, boilers, ventilation, AHU’s and hot and cold water.
It will be required to be based in the office 3 days a week procuring materials and parts for projects in addition to sourcing any sub-contractors and liaising with the design team, travel out to site is then required to complete surveys and estimates, as well as managing a team of Mechanical Engineers and attending site meetings with estimators and clients.
Typically, these will be commercial projects ranging from retail outlets, colleges and universities, hotels, high-end residential and plant rooms located around London, project value is usually between £10,000. up to 3M.
Possessing any knowledge of air conditioning, chilled water and other associated cooling and temperature control products will be a distinct advantage as some projects will include these systems.
The position would suit a contract engineer or project engineer seeking a new progressive opportunity or a contract manager/ project manager seeking a new challenge.

Role Requirements and Qualifications: -
Previous experience within the heating and temperature control industry
Ability to provide support and advice on products
Full UK Drivers Licence
Able to run projects and to complete on time
Mechanical Engineer/ Project Engineer Package: -
£45,000-£60,000 dependant on experience.
