A Leading Aerospace manufacture is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join their expanding business.

Based in Sunbury On Thames

Rate: £30.00 +

As the Manufacturing Engineer your focus will be to develop new and support exciting processes whilst providing manufacturing expertise to operations, design and the supply chain departments.

This role requires someone who has proven experience in implementing lean management processes and within a fast paced manufacturing environment.

Typical duties will include:

Implement lean manufacturing methods (e.g. 1-piece flow lines, visual factory) to reduce throughput times, rework/scrap and work in progress; apply (statistical tools and methodologies) where applicable

Generate and maintain routing/BOM/SOP documentation and "Visual Factory" displays

Provide day-to-day manufacturing engineering support for the production cells to enable customer schedule adherence (Fracas/concessions, change notes or MRB (material review board)

Develop key performance indicators (KPI) for new product introduction and existing manufacturing resource.

Project manage new product introductions and the manufacture of legacy products from release to production through the product life cycle.

Coordinate process tooling design and manufacture

Take ownership of product and parts obsolescence
