Your experience in Manufacturing Engineering and understanding of current and cutting edge manufacturing processes and equipment, will play a crucial part in driving process improvement initiatives and root cause and corrective action. Using your background in Manufacturing Engineering in the Aerospace Industry to ensure capacity and capability of manufacturing processes and equipment to meet business requirements.

About the Role: 

The client requires a Manufacturing Engineer to drive process improvement initiatives and root cause and corrective action. This job includes: 

Establishing capability for the repeatable supply of goods and services continuously reducing cost and driving quality 
Developing systems, processes and methods to meet manufacturing requirements ensuring lowest cost and highest quality 
Manage capital investment associated with ensuring that there are capable processes 
Maintain process documents, tooling, test equipment, gaging, and fixturing for programs/products 
Create and maintain standard work for processes and standard cycle times 
Maintain product family matrix and support cell layout based on the matrix 

About You: 

To be suitable for the Manufacturing Engineer job, you will need to be a solid Manufacturing Engineer from any background but preferable with aerospace experience. You will need a depth of experience in driving process improvement, and an understanding of current and cutting edge manufacturing processes and equipment. Solid understanding of DFMA tools (Design for Manufacture Analysis) as well as excellent program management skills are required. It would be useful but not essential to have experience of electrical loom design & manufacture.
