Description

My client is looking to recruit a Manufacturing Engineer for their Hemel Hempstead site to fulfil the following responsibilities -

• Review and measure current manufacturing processes.
• Project manage approved Continuous Improvement projects.
• Champion shop floor six sigma programmes and initiatives.
• Seek out and implement new techniques and controls to make products more repeatable.
• Actively gather and manage data to identify areas for change.
• Prepare manufacturing layouts.
• Manage capital investment programmes.
• Preparation of production tooling.
• Create and maintain manufacturing shop floor documentation for new and existing products.

Profile

The successful candidate for the Manufacturing Engineer role at my clients Hemel Hempstead site will provide evidence of the following -

• Advanced knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques.
• Proven knowledge of utilising structured problem solving methodologies.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9000 Quality Management System.
• Working knowledge of Project Management techniques.
• Working knowledge of design processes (DFx), new product introduction and product life cycle management.
• Working knowledge of using ERP/MRP systems.
