My client - a leading Manufacturer of precision engineered components and fixings for the aerospace industry are looking to recruit a Manufacturing Engineer for their Surrey site due to huge growth over the last 2 years.

 

 

Client Details

My client is a leading manufacturer of precision engineered components and fixings for the aerospace industry, alongside the automotive, motor sport, power generation, and defence sectors.

 

Description

The successful candidate for my clients Manufacturing Engineer role at their surrey site will fulfil the following responsibilities -

  • Investigation and possible justification of new equipment and processes into the business.
  • Involvement in cost reduction exercises.
  • Production of manufacturing documentation in support of detail manufacture.
  • Continuous improvement deployment across all activities.
  • Evaluation of the appropriate processes to be employed in manufacture and provisioning tooling, gauging and production equipment in support.
  • Self-development and attendance at training programmes to develop relevant knowledge, techniques and skills.
  • Understand and assist in implementing the business standards, why they exist and how work procedures and practices support best practice.
  • Ensure activities meet and integrate with organisational requirements for quality management, health and safety, legal stipulations, environmental policies and general duty of care.
  • Any other reasonable management request.

 

 

Profile

 

The successful candidate for my clients manufacturing Engineer role at their Surrey site will provide evidence of the following -

  • Knowledge and practical implementation of Lean Manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of logical Bills of Material structures.
  • Proven knowledge of tooling requirements.
  • Knowledge of Engineering change control.
  • Proven track record in Welding, sheet metal or fitting within the aerospace / Defence and General Manufacturing sectors.
  • Track record of resolving shop floor issues.
  • Proven track record in NPI.
  • Proven track record in customer data interpretation / Design drawing interpretation.
  • Proven track record of manufacturing methods.
