Position: Logistics Coordinator

Salary: 26k - 28k Plus Benefits

Out company client a widely known FMCG business who are currently seeking to take on board a responsible and fast paced Logistics Coordinator for their team office - based in Slough. The successful applicant will be mostly focused on maintaining day-to-day customer relationships across EMEA through the maintenance of schedule agreements and issuing the relevant documents in order to meet the customer's requirements.

Main duties for this role will involve the following:

* Plan and coordinate transportation of materials and manage the timely flow of customer orders
* Facilitate the shipping and/or receiving of products to and from the warehouse on behalf of customers.
* Processing purchase orders in the system
* Organizing either the shipping or receipt of product or the preparation for delivery of product to and from the facility with focus on accuracy, efficiency and time management
* Monitoring warehouse inventory to an optimal level
* Provide and maintain good customer service and solve problems
* Readying loads for shipment and managing the inbound and outbound warehouse traffic
* Addressing problems with order flow or shipping delays and quality-control issues, such as damaged or improperly packed goods, as well as day-to-day concerns with warehouse capacity and client deadlines
* Communicating ship plan via phone or email with customers and logistic partners

Knowledge and qualification required:

* Graduate calibre
* A strong understanding of Retail or FMCG supply chain/Logistics within FMCG
* Experienced SAP user
* Highly computer literate - advanced excel
* Familiarity with liaising with both customers and suppliers (logistics and freight companies, etc.)
* Excellent communication and influencing to develop strong relationships internally and externally
* Able to prioritise and allocate time effectively
* Diligent in completion of tasks and projects
* Strong team player
* Highly organised and motivated
