A highly successful and fast growing water treatment company with a large presence is currently seeking the services of a competent and multi-skilled Legionella Risk Assessor/Water Treatment Engineer in West Midlands and will include applications from Staffordshire and the surrounding areas.
The applicant will ideally have attended an approved Risk Assessment course - City & Guilds and must have IOSH qualification.
Must have previous working knowledge of ACOP L8 and significant experience of carrying out L8 risk assessments within the water treatment/Water Hygiene industry - ideally from a Legionella Consultancy background.
Must also have good working knowledge of chemical treatment of cooling towers, steam boilers, etc.
Must have good working knowledge of commercial water systems, supplies and water regulations governing these.
Must be proficient in using the Microsoft Office Package.
Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ideally, the applicant must have a proven track record work within this role and within the water treatment industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Carrying out Legionella risk assessments in line with ACOP L8 risk assessments.
Compiling schematic drawings, as well as producing final documents for clients/customers.
Providing recommendations and prices for remedial works, routine control measures through maintenance regimes, quotations, and carrying out such works based on the risk assessment.
Carrying out monthly temperature testing and water sampling.
Carrying out survey of water systems and supplies as per ACOP L8.
Collating and producing comprehensive reports and attending meetings with clients to discuss findings of reports.
For the Water Treatment Role:
Carrying out cleaning and chlorination on both hot and cold water systems, tanks clean, chlorination, refurbishment & disinfections, etc.
Carrying out temperature monitoring, conducting routine sampling and analysing water systems and interpreting the results.
Compiling accurate reports.
Liaising with the company's mixed portfolio of clients on a regular basis.
Ensuring work is completed within time frame.
Visiting various sites, hence, must be prepared to travel extensively.
