Legionella Risk Assessor - Yorkshire

Our client is a large and progressive organization with a huge presence across the country. They specialize in all mainstream disciplines, including asbestos, water treatment/water hygiene, legionella and others.


Due to current state of the business, they are now seeking for a competent, articulate and committed Legionella Risk Assessor to cover various contracts in Yorkshire and will include applications from South Yorkshire, West Yorkshire and along the M62 corridor and the surrounding areas.


Qualifications & Experience:

Ideally the post-holder must have attended the Risk Assessment course, City and Guilds or alternatively have had internal training courses.

Must have a proven track record working within this role - carrying out Legionella risk assessments and within the water treatment/water hygiene industry.

Must be competent in using the Microsoft Package.

Must have good communication and organizational and client facing skills.


Key Responsibilities:

Carrying out Legionella risk assessments in line with ACOP L8 risk assessments and ensuring work is carried out effectively and within time scale.

Compiling schematic drawings, as well as producing final documents including for clients.

Auditing - site records/log books.

Providing recommendations and prices for remedial works, routine control measures through to quotations, and carrying out such works based on the risk assessments.

Carrying out monthly temperature testing and water sampling.

Carrying out survey of water systems and supplies as per ACOP L8. 

Writing up appropriate reports and attending meetings to discuss findings of reports, etc. 

Building and maintaining a good rapport with clients.


Overall, the successful candidate will be an all-rounder, flexible and will have good working knowledge of commercial and industrial water systems, supplies and water regulations governing these and at the have the ability to work on own initiative.

Must be flexible with regards to travelling.
