Our client is a multi-disciplinary consultant to the built and natural environment, providing a comprehensive and co-ordinated range of high quality monitoring, assessment, analytical, environmental, engineering, surveying and management services to a diverse range of clients in the public and private sectors. They are now seeking a Legionella Consultant / Risk Assessor to join their team in the West Midlands.
Duties:
Surveying water systems within various types of buildings and different organisations
Taking temperatures of the water systems surveyed and from around the distribution system
Complete technical drawings of water systems
Drawing up Schematics for Water Systems
Auditing client site records and log books
Writing up Certificates of Compliance
Legionella Risk Assessments
Carrying out the servicing of hot and cold water systems
Client liaison
Etc
The successful candidate must have a degree in biological services, environmental science, chemistry, chemical engineering or similar. Minimum of 3 Years' experience of Legionella Risk Assessments in accordance with ACoP L8 and BS8580. Able to produce risk assessment reports and compile schematic drawings of water systems. Willing to progress to process water and cooling tower risk assessment.
Not essential but would be an advantage if the successful candidate had knowledge of the Water Fittings Regulation. Knowledge or experience of indoor air quality monitoring and asbestos management. Able to produce schematic drawings and experience in preparing Legionella risk assessments to industry standards. Member of the Water Management Society
