Ruskin Mill Land Trust (a charitable trust) holds, preserves and develops the vision, research and academic method of Ruskin Mill. Its associated charitable company, Ruskin Mill Trust Limited, provides innovative and experiential education and training for young people marginalised by disadvantage, exclusion or special learning needs. Inspired by Rudolf Steiner and John Ruskin, the charity actively promotes - through craftsmanship and entrepreneurship - the traditional economic activities of the Cotswolds, Midlands and Sheffield (at Colleges in each geographical location). Ruskin Mill Land Trust owns all the land and properties supporting the operations of Ruskin Mill Trust Limited and leases or rents these assets in pursuit of its charitable objects.

Applications are invited for the following temporary post to cover a period of maternity leave that will be based in Nailsworth, near Stroud, Gloucestershire

Legal Advisor/Legal Officer (Charity and Property)
12 months - (3 or 4 days per week)
Competitive Salary, dependant on experience and qualifications

You will be required to progress and/or complete a number of specific projects involving charity law and property law matters. These include reorganisation / mergers of the charity / its subsidiaries, transfers of land, surrender of leases and the grant of new leases. The candidate needs a sufficient working knowledge of the charity and property legal aspects underpinning these projects but will have a budget to instruct external advisers to support them.

Closing Date: 9am on the 17th November 2016 but we reserve the right to close the post early if a suitable candidate is found
