IDS employs a considerable team across five locations in a variety of specialist skills including data development, analytics, research, report development, decision execution, CRM, insight consultancy, software development and econometrics and has a very extensive and deep stakeholder base across 30+ areas of Sky, covering every subject - from acquisition to retention, from on-screen to online, from marketing effectiveness to targeted advertising. The key responsibilities will include:
Instil a client-centric, service based culture into the team ensuring accountability for delivery
Maintain analytical roadmaps for business areas and proactively manage client expectations
Ensure communications strategy encompasses feedback and measurements of effectiveness
Deliver insight in a professional manner ensuring focus is on insight consumption and exploitation
Identify the key issues on which to focus in complex and uncertain situations
Ensure that all analysis delivery is incremental - over and above existing standard reports
Integrate pieces of pertinent information to create new ways of addressing known issues
Uses mental maps and pictures to explain complex situations with many components
Come up with solutions to complex issues which 'cut through' protracted solutions
Identify the key issues on which to focus on in complex and uncertain situations
Perform as a recognised expert for a specific business area
Capitalise on practical experience to develop thinking and move the subject area forward
Proactively share personal expertise with members of the team
Support others in owning developmental solutions to problems and issues
Works with other team members and makes deliberate efforts to keep others up to date
Acts to improve effectiveness of team delivery and communications
Empowers other team members making them feel strong or important
Support Analytical Managers by delivering on the communications plan for insight sharing
Actively participate in the alignment of understanding with other sources of Sky insight 
Manage peer and stakeholder expectation of the deliverability of business goals

The successful candidate will possess the following;


Essential Key Criteria:


Evidence that the successful applicant has been able to influence and lead the end to end delivery of analytical projects with multiple stakeholders and multiple products, preferably within the media sector.

Candidate must have an excellent and proven track record of having established successful business relationships with stakeholders and should be able to effortlessly direct others such that the right deliverables are constantly met, by careful and swift prioritisation calls. Evidence of using new innovative thinking and approaches is essential.

Experience of applying advanced analytical techniques (e.g. predictive modelling and segmentation) within a marketing services environment. Hands on experience across a range of analytical tools or languages (SAS, SPSS, SQL) and third party data that can be used to support analysis.

Analytical expertise and delivery in multiple relevant business areas

Experience of delivering 'to plan' in complex analytical environments
Collaborative thinker and able to 'join the dots' across multiple domains
Mature approach to client-expectation management
