Junior Accountant

  • Practice Accountant required for a growing accountancy practice based in their North London office
  • Must have experience within an Accountancy Practice

Our Client

Our client is an ambitious local accountancy firm looking to add a Junior Accountant to their successful finance team in North London.

Roles and Responsibilities of the Junior Accountant

  • Sole responsibility for organisation of client records, booking in/out, maintain spreadsheet controls
  • Assist in preparation of sole trade and small company accounts, bookkeeping and VAT returns
  • Provide admin support to the accounts team, which will include scanning and filing of client documents and correspondence from/to HMRC and Companies House
  • Liaise with clients to arrange timely delivery of records and accounts information to facilitate accurate completion of VAT, accounts and corporation tax returns within the required deadlines
  • Provide support to Senior Accountants where necessary
  • Co-ordinate agreed timeframe for delivery of accounts, with Senior Accountants
  • Liaise with clients, HMRC and Companies House & deal with general queries
  • Undertake such other duties that may be considered reasonable by the Directors, Accounts Manager and the post holder

Desirable skills:

  • A Level Maths or Accounting
  • Exposure to Sage line 50/Sage accounts production
  • Exposure to CCH accountancy software
  • Accounting practice experience
