Javascript is becoming an increasingly used technology for several teams here at Sky. Using the latest frameworks such as React, Angular2 with NodeJS we are able to build world class applications in Javascript and we are looking to expand on our expertise in this technology stack. We are now welcoming Software Engineers with previous experience in other technologies to apply, join, and cross-train to become a Javascript Developer.
If you are successful, you will initially join a Javascript bootcamp to get you up to speed with this language and best practices, and working closely with the different Tribes to understand how we use Javascript at Sky.

Would these attributes describe you:
*Previous experience working in an Agile environment - small, feature driven squads or teams using sprint / SCRUM / KANBAN frameworks
*Able to demonstrate a working knowledge of test driven methods and solid engineering behaviours and patterns.
*Prior experience with principles such as pair programming and continuous integration
*Designing and developing commercial web sites using technologies like PHP, Java, Ruby, Javascript, Python, C#.
*Experience of OO development and design patterns
*Exposure to Open Source Software participation and delivery
*Demonstrate a willingness to be a proactive participant in the agile process
*Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
*Ability to interpret business requirements and deliver high quality, customer focused technical solutions and implementations meeting and exceeding customer experience and usability requirements.
