Basic qualifications: 

Skills:

Degree in Computer or Information Science or equivalent experience

• Min. 5 years relevant experience (Solution Delivery) in major global IT organization in Consumer Healthcare Commercial or highly regulated industry
• Project/Program management - significant relevant experience in delivery of Marketing IT programmes\projects and key technologies including Adobe, SFDC
• Project Management Qualification – e.g., MSP,PMP, PRINCE2, MoR
• Business process experience in Marketing (traditional and digital channels), Sales in the Consumer Healthcare industry
• Excellent relationship management, strong influencing, negotiation and communication skills with all level of the organization including senior stakeholders across IT and the business
• Had responsibility for implementing a robust set of ways or working and governance that is embedded with the team and practiced rigorously. 
• Has first-hand experience in tracking and reporting progress in a systematic and robust way
• Needs to have managed and conducted escalations to other teams and to senior stakeholders
• Experience in people management and demonstrated experience managing teams across functions and geographies
• Excellent leadership and teamwork skills
• Track record in successful large IT mobilization, programme and project delivery across multiple markets and regions globally concurrently with complex inter-functional designs and dependencies.
• Ability to challenge at all levels of the project and with stakeholders to ensure objectives are met
• Track record in delivering business impact through process and IT enabled solutions

Preferred qualifications: 

• Management experience  
• Excellent understanding of Consumer Healthcare commercial business processes, specifically in Marketing & Sales (including traditional and digital channels)
• Knowledge and experience working with Six Sigma/Lean Sigma processes and tools

Location: 

To be effective it is essential that this role is located in the UK or US. A responsibility of this role may be to represent the team at various governance and project meetings which run face to face in the UK/US. This co-location is critical to establish working relationships with other key delivery partners and senior stakeholders that are also based at these locations.

Job Purpose:  

This role is accountable for mobilizing medium to large projects that can have medium to high complexity in Digital Marketing & Communications, CH IT. Ensure that all projects are set up for success and managed though to successful completion. The projects typically have a global and\or regional scope and can run concurrently and drawn on multiple delivery partners, incorporating requirements definition, design, build, testing and implementation of platforms as well as market deployments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Mobilization: Accept allocated demand. Work to identify the scope and timelines in which to mobilize a team directly or indirectly. The team needs to be in place and able to create necessary deliverables to meet Gate 2 requirements (project approval). Take overall ownership for the project and steer until completion. At this grade the individual must be capable of setting up a global\regional hierarchy and project structures necessary to support the objectives. Work with other delivery agents to coordinate delivery at a senior level. Identify, clarify and gain sponsorship for changes in project / programme scope – ensuring the appropriate Change Management process is followed at all levels.

• Delivery Process: Accountable for the various projects that are under the ownership of this role. Ensure delivery to agreed time, cost and quality parameters. Ensure project goals are achieved on time in alignment with the stakeholders’ expectation. Ability to manage both large, small, simple and complex projects. Ability to escalate and remove blocks to progress in a large matrix organisation and with senior stakeholders. Have proven delivery experience and capability which enables this role to provide guidance, coaching and mentoring to junior project managers. 

• Governance: Implement standard governance that allows the projects and stakeholders to manage overall project performance and risks within the regional nature of some of the projects.

• Budget Management: Accountable for ensuring projects have implemented standard processes and tools to manage, agree and report budgets consistently in projects. Drive teams to actively manage costs. Look for opportunities across projects to reduce costs. Ensure compliance of PMs in process. 

• Quality, Risk & Compliance: Ensure all risk and issues associated with owned projects are recorded and managed in the appropriate Risk & Issue logs in a timely manner, according to project standards.   Ensure all Risks and Issues have clear action/mitigation/contingency plans defined, with named action owners and timelines for completion.

• Team Leadership: As a member of the team, contribute the development of talent and capabilities. Use experience to bring new ideas and to identify and challenge ineffective practices. Based on the proven experience this person will have they will at times be called on to guide, mentor and coach the junior project managers in the team. Assist in the selection of project managers.

• People Management: Accountable for appointment and selection of right resources to deliver the initiated projects. Assist the line mangers of the permanent resources in meeting development objectives. Mentor and coach resources to develop them and to ensure optimal performance. Participate in the feedback to the line manager to support the PDP process. Managing agency workers and ensure the right level of capability is engaged to ensure the success of the project. Take steps to manage poor performance and take necessary steps to ensure projects delivery are not threatened – work with line manger in the process. Able to manage and motive the significant number people in the programmes or projects that work in markets around the world.

• Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with others to improve our IT delivery methodology covering tools, sourcing, processes and quality assurance.
