About the Job:
Smyths Toys offers a structured Graduate IT Programme within the Company.
This Programme will involve both retail and Head Office placements. The Graduate will be placed in a retail Store on the island of Ireland. The Head Office placement will be completed in Galway.
Graduates who successfully complete the Programme will have gained experience in all aspects of the operation of a modern multi-site retailer. This will include exposure to store and non-store functions.
We are looking for talented graduates who can make an immediate impact and work in a fast paced environment. You must have the ability to work in a team & on your own initiative with good communications skills. We place emphasis on your ability to problem solve in a logical manner with strong ownership & determination to succeed.
What you get is on the job training in a challenging business led IT Department with leading Enterprise level technologies (SAP, HANA) & bespoke mobile applications. In store you will gain experience with front-of-house POS and stock control systems.
Opportunities exist to specialise in technical support or functional business areas.
