Reporting into the Head of Content Insight, the Content Merchandising Insight Manager role supports the On Demand Scheduling team to maintain world class levels of customer engagement, brand loyalty and value retention. The Content Merchandising Insight Manager will take a lead role in working with key stakeholders to understand critical business questions that insight can inform to drive commercial success. The role will work to define the insight programme across primary and secondary research, analytics, and reporting to answer the commercial questions of stakeholders. 

Key responsibilities include:
 

  • Identify the key decisions and questions for Content Merchandising and develop insight-based advice to inform both strategic and operational business decisions that impact On Demand & Top Picks scheduling and editorial.
  • Provide title/channel/platform level forecasts, analysis, insight & recommendations across the Content Merchandising estate.
  • Research and source the most up-to-date and appropriate information required to provide the On Demand Scheduling team with the ability to make market-leading strategic decisions
  • Develop deep collaborative relationships with relevant stakeholders supported by a comprehensive understanding of their business context, strategies and objectives

For the role, we would be looking for you to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
 
  • Passion for the subject matter: Have knowledge and an interest in TV.
  • Stakeholder Management: Must have a strong track record of establishing successful business relationships with stakeholders. Evidence that the successful applicant has been able to influence, engage with, and respond with credibility at relevant level, and occasionally at Director level.
  • Strategic Thinking: evidence that the successful candidate has the ability to balance future strategic thinking and answering immediate business needs.
  • End to End Insight and Research Process: Evidence that the successful applicant has been able to influence and lead analytics, reporting and research processes with multiple stakeholders and multiple products.
  • Specific Content Insight Experience: must have extensive experience in learning and using a range of techniques relevant to media and TV insight including identifying headroom opportunity, qualitative and quantitative research, panel research, audience forecasting, audience segmentation, schedule optimisation, management information and reporting development supported by strong media industry knowledge and trends. .
