Infrastructure Manager (Projects 3rd 4th Line Engineering Windows Server SCCM VMware PowerShell Active Directory Team Leader Manager Exchange Banking Finance) required by my banking client in London. You MUST have the following:

• Current or recent experience managing 3rd or 4th line Windows Server infrastructure engineers- 5 or more.
• Strong experience as a manager- hiring staff, appraisals, reporting to senior IT and business management, budgets, defining technical strategy, delegating work, overseeing projects and delivery
• Server Engineer or Systems Engineering experience in an environment of 400+ servers for 1000+ users
• Windows Server 2012 R2
• Active Directory
• SAN

The following would be DESIRABLE but is not essential:

• VMware vSphere
• Office 365 / Exchange 2010/2013
• Strong knowledge of PowerShell for automation and reporting purposes
• VMware SRM
• SCCM 2012 R2
• Linux Red Hat
• Cloud technologies (AWS / Azure)

Role: IT Server Systems Infrastructure Manager required by my banking client in London. The environment is 3500 users and 900+ servers. You will inherit a well-established and successful team of 12 systems engineers that focus exclusively on projects and engineering. They are 4th line and comprise technical leads/architects across Exchange, Active Directory, SCCM, SAN, Linux and Windows Server.

The role is 90% managerial, defining technical infrastructure strategy across the bank with the contribution of the team; overseeing programmes of projects to keep the technical environment modern and up to date; budgeting; man-management and reporting to senior IT management and the business. The role will report into the Head of Infrastructure.

In the next 12 months, the team will lead a large data centre move, a Windows Server 2016 upgrade, office move of 2000 users, and will aim to begin a move to AWS cloud.

The environment is relaxed and sociable. You will be sponsored in new certifications. There are internal football, rugby and cricket teams. Hours are 9-5.

Salary: £75k- £95k + 25% Bonus + 10% Pension.
