About the Job:
The Data Centre Migration (DCM) Architect is responsible for leading the technical design teams in delivering the DCM solution to the customer, utilising the IBM Data Centre migration methodology which will have key High Level and Low Level design documentation deliverables that must be presented to the customer. The DCM Architect will be responsible for obtaining all the design authority approvals for all the design documentation approved.The Data Centre Migration Architect will:
- Define the Migration Strategy.
- Develop the Migration patterns and approach.
- Design in conjunction with the Chief Architect and Customer the migration facility required to support the programme.
- Act as supplier Technical lead for the Migration Stream and Migration facility build.
- Represent the Migration stream within the Technical Design Authority.
- Technical ownership and mitigation of key technical risks
The successful candidate should have skills experience in some of these areas:
- Experience in complex Data Centre Migrations utilising a recognised methodology
- Good Mid-range and /or Mainframe technologies understanding
- Good understanding of networking principles
- Proven Team leadership experience
- Work stream leadership experience
- Experience of working and presenting at senior management levels within an organisation
