Based at our Leicester offices, you’ll provide a world-class HR administrative service across all of our stores and Head Office. That will involve anything from putting together and sending out welcome packs to new recruits, to checking employee references and responding to requests for them. You’ll deal with services for our existing employees – administering our healthcare benefits scheme, staff gym membership and applications for Season Tickets – and will keep all records up-to-date and in-line with Data Protection legislation. And whether you’re liaising with payroll or another Selfridges Team Member, you’ll also be proactive and flexible and focused on delivering the best service you possibly can.
A good telephone manner and excellent customer service skills are essential, as is the ability to produce high quality letters and accurate welcome packs. You’ll be working to payroll deadlines too, so you’ll need to be extremely organised as well as having a keen eye for detail. Whether you have a background in administration or are interested in a career in HR, you’ll have top-notch IT skills and the initiative to flexibly manage and prioritise your workload. You’ll also be a strong team player, building relationships at all levels, both across your department and the business as a whole.
