Bluebell Ward is a 18 bedded Mixed Acute Psychiatric Inpatient Ward.

Would you like to be part of a forward thinking service that is embracing the therapeutic day? Are you someone who has a passion for working with adults with acute mental illness?

Do you want to develop your knowledge, skills and expertise to ensure that we deliver high quality, person centred care at the right time and in the right place? We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Healthcare Assistant to work on our acute mental health inpatient wards.

The acute service line serves the community of Kent with a population of approximately 1.6 million people, specialising in the assessment and treatment of adults of working age who are acutely ill. The acute service line provides inpatient facilities in brand new state of the art environments, working alongside extensive home treatment teams and liaison psychiatry services. 

Kent & Medway NHS & Social Care Partnership Trust have close links with the University of Greenwich and Christchurch University, both of which support the directorate’s clear training and development objectives. We are looking for a well-motivated individual willing to further develop in the nursing field for which the Trust supports staff in undertaking their nursing training.

Applicants must have previous experience working in an acute mental health care setting, good IT skills & have completed the NVQ 3 or equivalent.

You will work on a 24 hour rotational basis as part of a well-established multi-disciplinary team, supporting the qualified staff nurses in providing high standards of care according to National and Local Guidelines.

Applicants should possess a good educational background, be highly motivated, enthusiastic & fully committed to the team.
