About the Job:

DESCRIPTION

Lead all commercial product management activities for the Services business.

You will:

  • Lead Services activity in the primary commercial product management areas:
    • Developing product strategy
    • Ensuring that all new products are ready for launch as part of the product development cycle
    • Third party supplier management and terms negotiation where required for product delivery
    • Negotiating supplier funding where required for new product launches
    • Co operating with wider group teams responsible for key supplier deals
    • Management and optimisation of existing products, including ranging and pricing
    • Margin control and analysis of existing product performance, setting recommended proposition pricing for channel partners
    • Managing detailed end to end proposition design and execution plans, regular trading and effectiveness meetings with key channel partners in particular UK&I
  • Manage production of business cases and investment appraisal including presentations up to Board level.
  • Help lead the Services business as a key member of the management team, be open, approachable and lead by example.
  • Ensure smooth transition and transformation of all commercial activities.
  • Management of the CSA and Insurance books; determine the optimal pricing and product benefits strategy for both.

You will need:

  • Advanced commercial awareness and appreciation of customer service needs
  • Effective working to turn ideas and plans into successful operating initiatives
  • Industry experience highly desirable in order to bring credible business acumen to inform planning and decision-making
  • Expert ability to lead and work within a leadership team, demonstrating a collaborative management style and building trust to energise and inspire a team to deliver their common objectives
  • Excellent communication skills, used to influence and negotiate with key stakeholders – in particular around the group
  • An ability to understand and articulate business and strategy, in financial and non-financial terms to a wide group of senior stakeholders, both orally and in writing
  • Expert level analytical skills, understanding business context and commercial markets to translate into strategy and planning
