DESCRIPTION

Head of Business Architecture (IT Transformation)

The Head of Business Architecture will work internally to develop the Group IT Strategy and Roadmap (leveraging our CWS product-set wherever possible) to enable the business imperatives of the Dixons Carphone group.

You will:

  • Works across the business to understand the business strategies and how these can be enabled by IT
  • Aggregates all IT demand to establish a group IT strategy that supports our FTSE 100 status, drives synergies, leverages CWS assets and reduces corporate risk and increases compliance
  • Develops and maintains the Group IT roadmap and works with the Business Change, Business SME’s and Finance teams to develop projects and programmes to realise the IT plan
  • Lead engagement activity with senior stakeholders to develop compelling and profitable solutions to business challenges and opportunities
  • Translates solutions into formal recommendations and works with stakeholders to gain approval, priority and budget
  • Manages the handover of projects into delivery teams and maintains the alignment of the project to the roadmap throughout the delivery process
  • Manages dependencies across the roadmap
  • Works cross functionally within the business to ensure solution design activity is supported by appropriate financial, operational and technical teams
  • Creating business architecture models demonstrating how products, operations and systems interoperate within the business
  • Ensures solutions developed across the business are aligned to enterprise architecture standards and principles, leverages common solutions and services, and meets financial targets (cost and benefits).

You will need:

Essential:-

  • Extensive Business Architecture experience
  • Proven technology transformation experience within a significant retail business (or similar) and having a deep knowledge of the enabling systems
  • Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas in a focussed, simple and commercially relevant manner to a senior audience (up to and including ‘c’ level)
  • Strong influencing skills with the ability to challenge at all levels and manage complex stakeholder relationships
  • Business Analysis – inc. requirements gathering, process documentation and business case development
  • Project Management across internal and external stakeholder groups
  • Advanced Microsoft office skills
  • Experience of a complex, fast-moving environment
  • Proven team leader, having built a new, high performance team

Desirable:-

  • Retail or Mobile Telcoms industry experience
  • Operating Model/Business Model/Strategy development
