About the Job:

This is a fantastic opportunity for a science graduate who is looking to develop their career in Health & Safety. This International Engineering organisation based in Sheffield is looking for a graduate to join their EHS team. As an EHS Professional, you will help deploy EHS systems in conjunction with the organisation's defined integration plans and milestones.

While based at or near a hub of operation, you will be required to spend extensive time on the ground in their new operating locations. Accordingly, the assignment will require a minimum of 75% travel. When not traveling to an operating location, you will be expected to work out of the hub location.

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic graduate who wants to build a rewarding career by progressing through further specialist training programme.

The Person

  • Degree level education, preferably in Safety, environmental engineering, physical science, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in industrial or heavy manufacturing Environmental experience is desirable
  • Ability and willingness to travel (minimum of 75%) - driving licence is essential
  • A thorough understanding of EHS and regulatory processes is required
  • Strong planning, organisational, group facilitation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to interface with all levels of employees and organisational functions
  • Insatiable appetite for learning
  • Must be proficient in use of MS office suite of products.

Key Responsibilities

  • The primary accountability will be to assist deployment of safety policies, programs and procedures.
  • Conduct and complete assessments, develop procedures and conduct training as required by our integration plans.
  • Assists with development and implementation of EHS policy and procedures of the business unit with focus on prevention, risk reduction and environmental compliance.
  • Conducts and documents EHS self-assessment tools.
  • Participates actively in other EHS integration activities as assigned.
