About the Job:

JOB PURPOSE


To provide the highest level of administrative support to the Head of Development, Head of International Drama and the Commissioning Executive, Drama.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• PA to the Head of Development, Head of International Drama and the Commissioning Executive, Drama, providing full administrative support including diary management, travel arrangements (in UK, US and internationally), arranging events, dealing with general correspondence and expenses filing. 
• Ensure visitors to the department are handled appropriately.
• First point of contact for production companies and on/off screen talent.

Technical & Professional Skills

 

• Solid PA experience in a demanding, fast paced environment.
• Strong diary management experience with the ability to juggle busy schedules with fast and changing diaries and sometimes across different time zones (e.g. London to LA).
• The ideal candidate would have some editorial ability to read and assess script submissions and provide script coverage.
• Professional phone manner.                                                                                                                                  
• Advanced MS Office skills - PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe Flash player
• Very high level of organisation skills, attention to detail and initiative.
• Experience of handling confidential/sensitive material. 
• A good awareness of C4 business areas.
• Strong communication skills - both verbal and written.
• Demonstrable interest in television and the media.

• Ability to cope in a very busy environment and to perform in high-pressured situations, to be able to prioritise and cope with several tasks at once. 
• To have and use initiative, but also be able to respond to orders and have a willingness to do whatever is required, however mundane. 
• Interest om drama and script development.                                                                                        
• Ability to prioritise tasks and work effectively without supervision. 
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to be part of a team, work well with others in an open-plan department and deal politely with visitors from other companies. 
• Possess a keen attitude and a willingness to learn. 
• Flexibility, patience, perseverance and commitment to get the job done. 
• Ability to work with confidential materials and issues.
• Always display a helpful attitude whilst managing diaries carefully and sensitively.
