About the Job:
Among the many world class solutions IBM delivers to clients are some that include stringent safety requirements. Typically, these systems are used for the safe control of aircraft. As a functional safety manager with cross-project responsibility, you will be familiar with Ministry of Defence Standard 00-56 and its application to complex systems integration projects. You will already be an experienced safety engineer, recognized by our clients as Suitably Qualified and Experienced Personnel (SQEP). You will probably have prior experience in the Air domain, be familiar with the Military Aviation Authority and with the requirements of DEF STAN 00-972.
You will be working collaboratively with clients, IBM teams, and IBM senior management to ensure that our safety management system continues to deliver solutions of appropriate safety integrity in the face of evolving regulations, as well as leading safety teams in the successful production of safety cases.
