FP&A ANALYST - SERVICES

This is an exciting opportunity to join our growing Finance Function here at Dixons Carphone!

We are looking to hire an FP&A Analyst to be part of the UK Finance Team.

Reporting into the Head of Management Reporting (FP&A), this newly created role is pivotal for driving executive insight into the financial performance of our New Services Business. The role will operate cross functionally to build stakeholder engagement and lead change in a fast paced environment.

 You will:

• Prepare weekly Services reporting across all areas of the Senior Leadership Team’s (SLT) accountability, co-ordinating and consolidating across the teams and ensuring insightful commentary
• Prepare the Services P&L, flash and month end close reporting
• Co-ordinate and manage the month end reporting timetable within Services to ensure all submissions into FP&A are submitted on a timely basis
• Provide insightful analysis on P&L performance vs. targets, specifically by business unit, line of business and service
• Take ownership for all P&L commentary in monthly management accounts, quarterly business reviews and board presentation
• Make recommendations and constantly evolve and develop financial reporting so that information is concise, exception driven, timely and accurate to ensure the correct commercial decisions are taken
• Manage the risk & opportunities schedule across Services to ensure the SLT always have a current outlook for profit and cash
• Identify additional opportunities and challenges for the business through analysis of key ratios to drive delivery of the financial plan
• Positively challenge business performance through meaningful reporting, identify the key trends and be an instigator of change bringing new ways of working that adds value to the business.
• Drive the understanding of performance reporting to an executive audience across the wider function to improve the quality of all submissions into FP&A and SLT
• Ensure all reporting deadlines are achieving in accordance with the Group timetable and the commentary from the business partners is at the appropriate level and standard to meet the standards of a world class finance function

You will need:

• A strong academic background (Graduate Degree 2:1 and above)
• An Accounting Qualification (ACA, CIMA or ACCA) - newly or recently Qualified Accountant.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, capable of writing reports and telling a compelling story within senior forums
• Excellence communication skills
• Advanced Excel skills
• Advanced level of numerical / analytical ability and commercial acumen.
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong accounting foundations
• Excellent track record at working with a wide array of individuals within the business
