General Description
The EC Senior Manager will be responsible for leading the European organization to define, implement, monitor and refine the product business strategy for Samsung Laundry products. With this new role we are looking to strengthen our European capabilities to deliver on the strategy to become the number 1 brand in the European HA business. The EC Snr Manager will be a pivotal figure in our drive to build a winning business in Europe – with a balanced focus on ‘upstream’ management of Global HQ strategy and needs and also the executional leadership ‘downstream’ with the subsidiary teams. With a holistic approach to Product, Ranging, Pricing, Launching, Marketing, PVP execution and a solid understanding and ownership of all the critical business performance KPI’s the successful candidate will have to bring exceptional levels of Commercial Acumen to the role. The EC Snr Manager Laundry will also play an important role as the leader/co-ordinator of the EDAO Category Team to drive greater synergies and expertise across the HA business. Business expansion to drive Samsung to the number 1 position on the European laundry market. Build solid and sustainable profit base for the future growth of the category. Drive premium sales through optimizing range, price and mix management. Deploy product and business marketing strategy for the DA Business. 2014 saw Samsung grow by 25% in European revenue – continue this drive to achieve the No. 1 position for the European Domestic Appliances market. Aggressive targets... Yes - but we're looking for the right professional up for the challenge! - Product and Range Management – build and deploy the right range to deliver against the business goals and objectives. Establish true range, specification and price logic behind the category/range architecture. - PVP – articulate this range with strong, compelling and sharp product value propositions that allow for successful marketing execution. - Price Management – own price positioning, build pricing logic and set pricing and promotional guidelines where required. - Launch Excellence – Pre launch planning and Post launch tracking. Ensuring complete delivery of all required launch tools to maximise market impact and investment efficiency. Take ownership of translating LMP (global launch master plan) into robust LLP (local subsidiary launch plan) - Generate Demand – drive and support all related stakeholders (Global/HQ marketing, EHQ marketing and Subsidiary marketing and product management teams) to pursue a ‘sell out’ driven mindset and business approach. - Business Performance – own and monitor KPI’s with a focus on revenue, price, mix and profit. - Market Knowledge – analyse, understand and interpret market research data and competitor analysis to shape and steer the business direction. Identify new opportunities or corrective actions to existing business to ensure the business stays agile and is always able to capitalise on changing market dynamics. - Product Pipeline – ensure the needs of the business, markets and specific consumer requirements are included in the future product roadmap. Using real insights, local knowledge and retailer ‘VOC’ to steer the development of the future range to ensure profitable growth of the category. - HQ Partnership – build and harvest strong relationships at all levels of HQ management to ensure alignment with Global strategy and establish significant influence on the support needed for European execution. - Subsidiary Leadership – close collaboration with subsidiary teams to drive strategy execution, identify and leverage best practice and ensure consistent

Necessary Skills / Attributes
Soft Skills Driven, adaptable, high self-awareness, delivery focussed, entrepreneurial flair, flexible. Extensive experience and insights on the Home appliances industry or similar consumer electronics business. High self-motivation with the ability to identify opportunities and translate them into ideas, solutions, initiatives that directly impact the business performance. Exceptional consultative influencer skills – someone who will quickly gain the buy-in from the internal and external stakeholders across Europe Ability to analyse the market and establish our strategies against the competition - excellent communication skills in English essential, with good appreciation of global multi-cultural environment. Category/Business P&L ownership - a strong understanding of profit drivers throughout the P&L and a skilled in identifying and addressing specific areas to impact results. Strong presentation and communication skills and comfortable presenting to senior executives at both a strategic level and a detailed operational level. Rounded marketing knowledge – credible in driving the marketing communications teams to deliver exceptional solutions to support the category execution. Face to face customer experience at a senior level. Understanding of complex Retail and Trade channels. Hard Skills: Minimum over 10 years Home Appliances industry or Consumer products industry background.
