A fantastic opportunity as arisen to join a leading food business in the Leeds area. I am working with a well-known food manufacturer have been operating for over 100 years " Due to continued success they are looking to recruit an experienced Engineering Shift Manager for operations at one of their lucrative site in the Chester region.
The Engineering Shift Manager will be responsible for all Engineering functions on the site, during your shift. You will be working a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, day/nights. You will report directly into the Engineering Manager and will carry out an hands on leader engineering role. They are looking for an experienced Engineering Team Leader/Supervisor/Manager with the ability/experience to lead, and have a positive impact on improving production efficiencies, maintenance and any general improvement strategies in order to reduce costs. It is vital that the Engineering Shift Manager has the skills to drive improvements through fantastic management of your teams. You will manage the team of engineers to ensure that sufficient maintenance support is provided.
Engineering Shift Manager Duties
Hands on engineering maintenance leader role
Looking after a team of 7 + Engineers
Improve the current Maintenance system
Monitoring of downtime in order to improve productivity
Lead shift meetings
Provide professional maintenance by delivery excellent Asset Care
Execute shutdown maintenance requirements
Team/business reports on a weekly basis
Provide support to Engineering Manager
Contribute towards engineering budget
Ensure the team follow health and safety guidelines at all times
The successful Engineering Shift Manager with have fantastic communication skills and be able to work in a fast paced environment. You will be responsible for a range of KPIs along supporting the Engineering budget. You will ensure that manufacturing efficiency targets are met along with planned maintenance, root cause analysis along with developing the team.
