Production Operator

 

We are looking for a competent individual for our Production Operator position, you'll ensure that the final phase of our production runs efficiently and to our standards.

 

A great production operator is reliable and able to work with attention to detail and safety standards. On-the-job training is a good way to discover how to do the job better, so you should have willingness to learn and improve. Being a team player is essential since all tasks will require close collaboration with co-workers.

The goal will be to ensure that procedures are carried out smoothly to maximize efficiency.

A fantastic opportunity to gain entry into the engineering/Tool manufacturing industry.

Responsibilites;-

  • Unload finished work from the machine to include cleaning.

  • Prepare tool holders for the next production cycle.

  • Understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading and understanding the job cards.

  • Measure tools to be loaded using appropriate machinery with precision and dexterity in a timely manner

  • Load the next batch of measured tools into tool holders.

  • Programme the Laser etching machine with the appropriate information.

  • Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws

  • Perform any finishing requirements such as painting, spraying and sealing tools

  • Ensure finished tools are packed in protective packaging for dispatch, and update company database.

  • Prepare dispatch documents using company database.

  • Ensure deliveries are ready for collection in a timely manner and according to instruction, understanding the clients requirements.

  • Reporting any issues that occur during work day to the correct person.

  • Complete maintenance checks of machines periodically and maintain logs.

  • Maintain a neat and tidy work environment.

  • Responsible for packaging integrity and quality checks.

  • Adhere to Health and Safety regulations

Personal Requirements;-

  • Proactive and flexible in order to be able to effectively carry out their role

  • Ability to carry out multiple tasks and a possession of practical aptitude.

  • The ability to adhere to and carry out instructions when required

  • Sound communication skills to deliver good team work

  • He/she must therefore be in possession of both physical and mental dexterity to be able to perform these duties effectively

  • Must be precise, careful, patient, responsible, swift and alert.
