About the Job:
We have just been given notice of a fabulous opportunity for an engineering maintenance planner to join our international food manufacturing client, based in Rainham.

You will be a keystone to the operations by effectively planning maintenance activities on machines, to avoid machine breakdown and production halts. You should be organised and be able to schedule maintenance activities in a way that limits the interference with the rest of operations

A non exhaustive list of duties:
Ensuring relevant checks and maintenance activities are scheduled, performed and documented for records
Monitoring of site security systems to ensure all components effectively prevent 
Providing support to technicians both with knowledge and shift cover
Development and ongoing ownership of a Computer assisted maintenance management system.
Training colleagues and technicians during maintenance activities

A further criteria:
knowledgeable within the engineering field and able to work with a variety of people
Must be flexible and assist in different areas as issues arise
Ideally educated to BTec, ONC, City and Guilds with further relevant work history to support application, as either a electrical / mechanical engineer or as an engineering technician

Hours will generally be as follows:

8am-4pm Monday-Thurs
8am-3pm Fri
10.15am-6.15pm Sun

The factory is a 24/7 operation, and as such you may be required to be on shift outside of the above hours. On these occasions, the shifts will therefore be slightly more flexible and adjusted where appropriate ie shift altered midweek to compensate weekend work. (To be decided with the company)
