ENGINEER- END USER COMPUTING

DESCRIPTION

The EUC Production Services Engineer will have responsibility for the delivery of the group production services which include Active Directory, Sharepoint, Office 365, Email and collaboration services for a user base in excess of 3500 colleagues in multiple locations.

Based in a small internal team of technology experts. The role will require extensive experience of working with Active Directory and other Microsoft based products.

• Administrate entire portfolio for Production Services
• Oversee projects with a goal to improving or expanding the current infrastructure.
• Implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and training plans for productivity services administration and appropriate use.
• Deliver Production Service in line with agreed service level agreements based on user requirements.
• Assess need for any system reconfigurations (minor or significant), make recommendations, and execute them as required.
• Conduct research on emerging products, services, protocols, and standards in support of Production Services procurement and development efforts.
• Interact with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to deliver production services

Operational Management:

• Administer add, move, and change requests from end users as well as new line installations as required.
• Monitor and identify capacity and performance issues for Production Services to ensure continued, uninterrupted operation of Production Services systems.
• Generate usage and inventory reports as required.
• Conduct testing and development of disaster recovery plans to detect faults, minimize malfunctions, and backup systems.
• Oversee and implement the acquisition and installation of state-of-the-art equipment.
• Provide guidance to junior members of the team

You will need:

• Ability to work as part of an augmented operating model
• Service oriented and customer focused with ITIL foundation qualification preferred
• A good technical understanding of networking set ups & technologies (MPLS, VPN, LAN, WAN etc)
• Essential knowledge of Active Directory, Office 365, Exchange and preferably sharepoint
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Stakeholder management at a senior level
• Ability to develop and generate operational SLA reporting

Ideally Microsoft Certified in one of the following:

• Office 365 / Exchange Services 
• Active Directory and Group Policy Management
• Sharepoint services including site design & workflow
