Job Role:
Our growing E-Commerce division have an exciting opportunity for an E-Commerce Optimisation Manager focusing on Homeware to join our online trading team to optimise profit through driving demand on Debenhams’ UK sites and devices by responding to customer, competitor and market dynamics, optimising the placement of products and identifying new profit opportunities.
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Ensure customers are presented with the most wanted products at the right time whilst also seeking to maximise profit and sales performance.
- Analyse current (daily and weekly) performance using web analytics data sources to make quick trading decisions in order to react and respond to customer, competitor and market behaviour.
- Influence divisional and departmental strategy and decision making through the provision of expert channel insight and analysis of customer behaviour online.
- Identify opportunities for new products, brands or services by using search and market data. Present these opportunities to Heads of Buying/Category Manager in order to inform divisional strategies. Influence E-Commerce specialist teams to ensure Debenhams’ UK sites and devices are fit for purpose to support new product opportunities.
- Work with Digital Marketing to monitor and drive traffic to UK sites to maximise conversion.
- Brief in divisional homepage preferences and onsite content requests to E-Commerce Content team to ensure the divisional trading voice is factored in to overall content and navigation decisions. Brief in email marketing preferences to Marketing teams to ensure E-Commerce trading messages are factored into overall email content decisions.
Candidate requirements:
- Graduate level education or equivalent
- Strong analytical and numerical skills
- Ideally experience working in a similar role
- Sound knowledge and experience of an Ecommerce business
- Full understanding of the retail cycle
- Experience of working in a fast moving complex business
- Marketing knowledge and experience
- Project management skills
