Introduction

We need:

  • A Divisional Head of Resourcing to join our Resourcing Team
  • Based in one of our core locations - Swindon/Northampton/London/Dunfermline - but with some ability to support working locally or from home on a regular basis
  • £Competitive salary and benefits package
  • Status Car or Car Allowance
  • Permanent opportunity, full and part time applications welcomed

This is not a stereotypical in-house recruitment role. As you would expect we are looking for someone gregarious, bright, motivated, great at leading people and also great at partnering a wide range of senior stakeholders.

What makes this role different however is we are also looking for someone who can demonstrate they can just as comfortably develop strategies on permanent resourcing as they can on complex contingent labour channels (including Managed Service Provider / Statement of Work) and who is keen to work in an environment where you can genuinely develop and implement resourcing proposition improvement strategies in an agile manner.

As the Senior Resourcing Manager you will be supporting the business as their Divisional Head of Resourcing through leading, developing, implementing and managing the performance of our 3 year strategic resourcing plan. Aligning your plans to current and future business needs, you’ll work with the business to include resource budget and headcount volumes, appropriate workforce channel composition and capability requirements.

What it is like to work here:

Our business works hard every day to support our members, and we work just as hard supporting both the business and also our candidates. Our team is fun, with a wealth of experience in both resourcing and the financial services industry.

As the Best Companies To Work For 2016 third best large employer in the UK, you would expect that we spend a lot of time on the well-being and development of our people. This is an organisation where you matter, both for what you bring in skills and behaviours, but also for who you are as an individual.

Who we're looking for

A business partnering expert with significant experience of leading a resourcing team, you’ll have outstanding influencing and communication skills and proven abilities in resolving issues, finding solutions, thinking long term, and in providing expert advice and guidance across the business and to your team.

As a minimum criteria you’ll need:

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage, develop and motivate a team of specialist recruiters
  • Ability to partner key stakeholders, build strong relationships and work collaboratively
  • Demonstrable experience of developing, implementing and managing a strategic plan within an in-house complex corporate organisation – ideally previous experience as a Divisional Head of Resourcing within a large corporate or lead Head of Resourcing within a smaller company (1,000 hires per annum +)
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written across all levels, including the ability to produce reports, plans and present complex information to a variety of audiences
  • Broad and in-depth understanding of all resourcing activities and functions, including brand, attraction, supplier management, assessment methodology and governance
  • Up to date working knowledge of employment law and its application to resourcing
  • Experience and working knowledge of working within a financial services organisation or a highly regulated environment

It would also be nice, but not essential, if you had:

  • A relevant professional qualification, degree or CIPD qualified

What you'll be doing

As the Senior Resourcing Manager you will be accountable for providing strategic resourcing advice and direction to Executive Directors and Divisional Directors, along with working collaboratively with the HR Business Partnering team and other centres of excellence.

Reporting to the Head of Resourcing you will have a collaborative working relationship with peers such as Head of Employer Brand Marketing, Head of Emerging Talent Manager, Head of Executive Search, Head of Talent Acquisition and the wider Resourcing Teams.

You will also be:

  • Working collaboratively with Executive Director’s, Divisional Director’s and the Business Partnering team to lead and develop buy-in and implementation of strategic workforce planning aligned with current and future business needs such as resourcing led change programmes and transitions.
  • Collating external benchmarking and market insight to provide holistic and complex insight in terms of recommendations and adjustments to the resourcing strategy and plan where appropriate.
  • Supporting the Head of Resourcing with the Resourcing Strategy by influencing and ensuring the needs of the business are met, alongside the delivery of the new resourcing model.
  • Conducting internal resource deployment mapping, establishing which resourcing departments and sector specialists will be required to deliver various aspects of the plan, ensuring all requirements are communicated and agreed.
  • Accountable for resourcing delivery and performance KPIs in business area, including budget management and governance requirements in additional to core recruitment and attraction performance indicators
  • Leading, developing and motivating the performance of direct and in-direct resourcing teams, using KPIs and other sources of information, including feedback to support performance management and development of direct and indirect reports.
  • Working closely with Finance, the business and Senior HR Business Partners to shape and establish business area demand plan - ensuring it aligns to financial planning and their people strategy.
  • Responsible for all aspects of Resourcing delivery within respective areas, working closely with core resourcing teams to ensure delivery of all recruitment is seamless
