An opportunity has arisen in for a Digital Specialist to join the team to develop and deliver an industry leading end-to-end customer-centric digital retail experience across Mercedes-Benz digital platforms, SEO and showroom/temporary format digital tools to optimise sales opportunities and retain existing customers. This role works across Mercedes-Benz and smart brands.  

 

Job description:

Your responsibilities:

 

  • Develop and oversee digital experience plans (smart.com and smart online sale)

  • Develop and oversee the Used Car Locator (Mercedes-Benz and smart)

  • Develop new digital assets for campaigns and temporary format and showrooms (smart, Used Cars, Fleet, After Sales)

  • Develop and oversee Apps and Forms for Mercedes-Benz and smart.

  • Develop and oversee Re-targeting for Mercedes-Benz and smart

  • Effectively manage agencies to support all of the above to ensure business objectives are met in a timely and cost effective way

  • Work with Market Intelligence team and agencies to construct appropriate reporting suite to monitor and manage the effectiveness of all digital activities

  • Manage applicable areas of the Digital Experience budget including financial planning, calendarisation and accruals

 

To be successful in this role, you will be: 

 

  • Experience managing large, national, customer-facing websites

  • Understanding of different web technologies and how to apply them appropriately

  • Understand the impact of key digital technologies  ( eg difference between HTML5 and Flash) 

  • Experience using content management systems; experience of Adobe CQ products would be an advantage

  • Understand the impact of SEO on website performance

  • Deep understanding of what makes a good user experience online

  • Proven track record in optimising the performance of websites

  • Graduate level intellect, highly numerate

  • Commercial experience in a sales/marketing environment
