Development Scientist / Engineer

This is an exciting opportunity to join a specialist manufacturing company involved in the development of sensor detection instrumentation used in a diverse range of harsh environments. Paying up to £45,000 plus good benefits you will be responsible for the design and development of next generational equipment for the company with a specific focus on Infrared technology.

Your role as the Development Scientist will include:

• Design of Infrared optical sensor equipment and related systems
• Responsible for prototype development including the testing and validationProject managing the design process through to delivery stage
• Ensuring all designs can be manufactured appropriately

You will hold a degree of higher in a relevant Scientific or Engineering field and previous experience of working within an R&D field. A background in a field such as Optical Design or Analytical Spectroscopy would be an advantage, however, similar or related experience will be readily considered. You will have knowledge in Electronic, software, CAD, Mechanical Design, FEA and CFD simulation.
