Development Manager (Manager Team Lead Developer Domain Owner Scrum C# Web API .NET 4.5 Developer Software Engineer Programmer SOLID DDD HATEOAS CQRS Micro Services Micro-Services Agile Scrum Master Digital Finance Banking) required by my banking client in London. You MUST have the following experience:

 

  • Current or recent experience as a Development Manager or Team Lead for in-house ASP.NET application development- leading teams of at least 3 engineers to deliver applications. These teams will consist of developer, tester and, ideally, DevOps engineers
  • Management experience - hiring, conducting reviews, appraisals for team members and contributing to strategy
  • .NET development with ASP.NET Web API
  • SOLID principles
  • Excellent C# development experience
  • Agile Scrum
  • One of the following, even if not commercial:
    • DDD- Domain Driven Design
    • CQRS- Command Query Responsibility Segregation/Event-sourcing
    • Micro services knowledge, even if not commercial
  • One or more of the following:
    • continuous integration (Bamboo/Hudson, TeamCity, TFS, MSBuild)
    • automated deployment (Chef, Octopus, PowerShell, Ansible)
    • configuration management (Puppet, PowerShell DCS)

The following is DESIRABLE:

  • A contributor to the online and open-source community
  • SpecFlow
  • Experience with HATEOAS
  • Knowledge of payments applications, transactional or online banking
  • Agile ScrumMaster certified

 

Role: Development Lead/ Development Manager required by my banking client in London. You will be leading one of five Agile Scrum product teams that design, develop, test, release and support ASP.NET Web API digital online banking applications. Your role will be to oversee the development and production support of the product range, contributing to the full life-cycle, mentoring team members and reporting to senior management.

You will be involved in technical and business strategy decisions for the product, working with senior IT and business stakeholders. Further, you will contribute to the continued improvement and evolution of the department, in terms of methodology, best practices, tools and technology.

This role will be 30% hands-on development and 70% hands-off. You will have be comfortable with leading a team from a line management perspective, and mentoring team members to help them achieve their full potential.

You will be working with C# 6 and ASP.NET Web API 2.x. The environment is highly Agile, with the collaboration of the business. Releases can be as many as 30/month.

They work with DDD, HATEOAS, microservices, CQRS and event-sourcing. The department is also increasingly DevOps with tools such as TeamCity, MSBuild and Octopus in place.

There will be greenfield project work and other continuous project work.

The environment is relaxed and creative. Hours are 9-5 and staff retention is high. The culture is meritocratic and rewards talent.

 

Salary: £80k- £100k + 10% Pension + 25% Bonus
