Our ‘Customer Experience’ graduate scheme 

Is great customer service at the forefront of what you enjoy? Do you want to make a difference? Are you interested in improving our customer’s experience? 

If you’ve said yes to the above then this may be the scheme for you! 

We’re looking for our latest intake of graduates to join our Customer experience programme. It’s one of our specialised options available for graduates looking to join our graduate programme. 

Working in Customer Experience provides you with the opportunity to gain an excellent grounding in customer service. We’re looking for team players with excellent interpersonal skills; you’ll need a genuine passion for improving the customer experience. Curious & objective, you’ll be the type of person who likes to share ideas & listen to both sides of every story, with excellent communication & influencing skills.

Alongside our award winning development programme, successful applicants will be offered a permanent contract, a starting salary of £28,000 a year, plus an annual bonus based on performance. 

Your placements will be based in Swindon or Northampton, don’t worry we help with re-location if you live 40 or more miles away.

Who we're looking for

It’s essential that great customer outcomes are at the forefront of all our employees’ minds. 

We don’t mind what degree you’ve studied, we think your enthusiasm and personality is as important as your academic achievements.

 As a minimum requirement you’ll need to be:

  • Looking for a challenge and driven to learn and improve
  • Positive, tenacious and solution focused
  • Confident in building and maintaining strong working relationships
  • Committed to providing an excellent service to our customers & employees
  • On track to gain a 2.1 degree in any subject that you’ve studied, or have a minimum 2.1 degree already
  • 280 UCAS points, excluding General Studies
  • High performing, delivery focused and able to manage ambiguity
  • Digitally savvy

 

What you'll be doing

In fact, as a mutual this is a unique differentiator and gives us a real competitive advantage against the banks. Putting clear daylight between Nationwide and our competitors in terms of customer service is a key priority for all of us. 

You’ll be involved in projects which look at the implementation and delivery of this strategy across the whole business, whilst also reviewing other opportunities and best practices, and then driving these change initiatives for improvements to the Group’s service proposition. When you provide financial services, your main ‘product’ is your service. It’s the job of the Customer Experience function to champion our service offering by working with the business to define, manage, measure, recover and improve it.
