Bristol Street Versa are a wholly owned subsidiary of Vertu Motors plc based in Batley, West Yorkshire. The business converts and supplies wheelchair accessible vehicles (?WAV`s) and supplies vehicle adaptations, to both Motability and retail customers. We have recently set up a new Department, Versa Life, to provide the very best in aftercare for our customers, involving revisiting customers one month after taking delivery, and then again on each anniversary of the delivery to check that everything is still fully functional and suitable for the customer, and taking remedial action as required.
We are currently looking for a very talented individual to join our Versa Life Team, to undertake these customer visits. We already have two Engineers carrying out these visits and as we look to increase the roll out of this aftercare service, we are looking to expand the team.
The successful candidate will need to display excellent inter-personal skills; the ability to listen to our customers, advise our customers, and ultimately make our customers feel valued through building strong ongoing relationships with them. The successful candidate will also possess a mechanical/engineering mind-set to be able to troubleshoot any issues noted on the visit. On some occasions, a repair or change in specification may necessitate the vehicle being brought back to our workshops, but wherever possible, the Aftercare Engineer, who is provided with a fully stocked van, is expected to resolve on-site.

This role is 37.5 hours per week, working between 9am until 5:30pm Monday to Friday. The successful candidate will be based out of our Batley dealership although the majority of the week will be spent out of the office visiting customers. Our customer base is across the UK and as such, significant travel will be an integral part of the role.

Mechanical/engineering skills (ideally automotive, but not essential)
