Band 6 Physiotherapist. 37.5hrs per week. Integrated Community Team, Runcie Unit, St Albans City Hospital. We are looking for an experienced Physiotherapist to join our community therapy team, developing and maintaining this service at a high level. You will provide Physiotherapy assessment and treatment for patients with complex needs in their home environment. The successful candidate will provide expert advice, guidance and information to patients, health and social care professionals, carers and relatives and other non-professionals. You will be working within the Integrated Community Team. The team facilitates early discharge from hospital, aims to prevent admissions to hospital and provide community rehabilitation. The team operates a seven day service that includes cover between 8am and 6pm during the week.
You will need to have excellent communication and organisational skills, combined with a sound knowledge base and interest in older people, long term conditions and falls. The post holder will also share the clinical supervision of the therapy technical instructors and students.
In addition to the basic salary, this post attracts a High Cost Area Supplement of 5% of basic salary subject to a minimum payment of £961 and a maximum payment of £1,665 per annum (pro rata where applicable).
A full valid driving license and access to a car to use for business purposes is essential. (Unless you have a disability as defined by the equality act by 2010)
