Communication & Online Services Manager

Hertfordshire County Council have an exciting opportunity for an innovative and creative Communications & Online Services Manager to join Youth Connexions.

Youth Connexions provides youth work, information, advice, guidance, work related learning, outdoor education and support for young people. The majority of its work is with those aged 13 to 19 and up to 25 for young people with learning disabilities. It also provides support for young people leaving care, up to the age of 21, through the Youth Connexions One Stop Shops and work related learning in Primary Schools.

You will work closely with key managers to ensure the communication strategy is delivered effectively and that the Youth Connexions teams make the most of digital and online opportunities. You will manage the Youth Connexions website, produce engaging and quality written copy and use social media to ensure the promotion of Youth Connexions to its stakeholders and partners and to highlight the achievements of young people.

You will performance manage a small team and be able to deliver relevant training to the service on new initiatives and online safety. You will manage the Youth Connexions brand; have proven experience in a communications role and a good understanding of developing websites. You must have the capacity to be innovative, creative and respond quickly in developing the service's ability to communicate successfully with key stakeholders and ensure this develops in line with the availability of new technology.

Knowledge of web analytics, social media and search engine optimisation is also essential.
