We’re looking for our latest intake of graduates to join our Commercial Graduate Programme.

Commercial Division is an integral part of Nationwide. It's a big operation, with a loan book in excess of £11billion supporting Commercial property investors in the UK. We help those investors by lending to purchase Commercial properties in sectors such as offices, industrial, leisure, retail, residential and social housing properties.

To achieve our goals over time, we are looking for people who can build strong working relationships. We need to know and understand our customers and our team are proud to be consistently acknowledged as market leader in our industry for the customer service we provide.

Alongside our award winning development programme, successful applicants will be offered a permanent contract, a starting salary of £28,000 a year, plus an annual bonus based on performance.

Your placements will be based across our offices in in Manchester, Northampton or London, don’t worry we help with relocation if you live 40 miles or more away from these locations.

As a minimum requirement you’ll need to be:

• On track to gain a 2.1 degree in any subject that you’ve studied, or have a minimum 2.1 degree already
• 280 UCAS points, excluding General Studies
• High performing, delivery focused and able to manage ambiguity
• Digitally savvy

We’ll consider it a bonus if you also have commercial awareness and the ability to assess risk.

What you'll be doing

Commercial Division has several specialised business areas, including Property Finance, Restructuring and Recoveries, Business Savings, Public Sector & Shared Services.

In working with us, you’ve a significant part to play, from analysing and assessing our new & existing loan commitments, to acquiring specialist knowledge to understand our chosen markets fully. You’ll always make sure everything we do is in line with best in class customer service and most importantly, always ensuring the way we do it conveys our values as a mutual. Our lending decisions aren't taken by credit scoring; fundamentally they are made by the quality of your understanding, analysis and proposal.
