Chef

Westminster City Council is recruiting a full time (36 hours) Chef to work at our residential adventure centre in Surrey. Sayers Croft Outdoor Learning Centre is 30 miles from the centre of London in the village of Ewhurst. The role involves catering for up to 220 students and teachers, working closely with the Catering Manager to ensure all meal prep, stock management and hygiene and safety checks are carried out.

You must have prior chef experience and have attained 7061 and 7062 City and Guilds qualifications or NVQ equivalents. At times you will be asked to deputies for the catering manager so the ability to work independently is essential. We are located in a small village with limited public transport so your own transport is recommended.

Service is split into 2 shifts per day (07:00-15:00 and 11:00-19:00) so some flexibility in working hours will be required. Occasional weekend work with additional pay and time off in lieu will be on a pre-booked basis.
