Centre Administrator
The Leverhulme Centre for the Future of Intelligence (CFI) invites applications for the role of Centre Administrator. The Centre is a new highly interdisciplinary research centre, addressing the challenges and opportunities of artificial intelligence (AI), in both the short and long term. Funded by the Leverhulme Trust for 10 years, it is based in Cambridge, with partners in Oxford, Imperial College, and UC Berkeley.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the development of the new Centre, particularly as it grows rapidly in its early years. He or she will ensure the smooth running of CFI's ambitious events programme and will work independently to ensure the effective running of the Centre's administrative and financial processes and records. The Centre Administrator will also assist with recruitment of researchers; have oversight of personnel matters and general office management; will work creatively to develop the Centre's online and social media profile; and will provide PA support to the CFI's Directors. The funds for the post are available for ten years in the first instance.
Candidates should be educated at least to A Level Standard with Gcse's in English and Maths, and be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software. Excellent communication skills are essential for the role, as is having experience of working in an administrative function. Knowledge of University budgeting and administration systems is desirable as is familiarity with website construction and content management systems, and of social media.
