A full time Buildings Technician is required to carry out maintenance repairs and related works at the Fitzwilliam Museum.

Candidates considered for interview will have completed an acceptable period of training and must have knowledge of traditional methods of construction and plastering, rendering, painting and decorating to both internal and external surfaces. This is important as many of the Fitzwilliam's buildings are old and listed. This work must be to a high standard and match with existing finishes. These new works must also comply with the latest fire/Health and Safety regulations

A recognised trade apprenticeship in City & Guilds Advanced Certificate or the equivalent NVQ Level 3 in Plastering and/or Carpentry with demonstrable post apprenticeship working experience is desirable.
