The Shared Service Centre for Central England Co-Operative is a fast moving, high volume transactional and customer service environment serving a multi-million pound multi-stream business encompassing Funeral Services, Retail & Property.
The Banking Team has accountability for managing the banking services incorporated in this operation.The job purpose is to administrate, reconcile and the control of the transactions into and out of the Society's various bank accounts.
In this role you will be expected to support the other team members in Banking & the wider Shared Services environment to ensure continuous excellent service to the business. You should have the ability to manage multiple tasks; prioritise your workload in order to meet strict Key Performance Indicators and have the ability to comfortably communicate at all levels.
Person specification
The ideal candidate will have excellent numeracy, analytical, and IT Skills along with a basic knowledge of accountancy principles, especially bank reconciliations. They will show evidence of delivering or contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within a financial or banking environment. They should be hardworking, flexible and prepared to learn new tasks and skills in this fast evolving environment. The person should either be AAT Qualified or working towards an accountancy qualification.
