ASSISTANT BUYER- IMAGING

DESCRIPTION

From 360-degree cameras and to adventure photography to the latest drones, Imaging is a key category for Dixons Travel stores, representing a large proportion of their turnover. We work with all major international imaging brands to present the best hardware ranges, prices, promotions and accessories in all of our Travel stores.

The assistant Buyer/category manager will support the imaging category manager in delivering the budget plan and strategy, demonstrating creativity and a strong understanding of our colleagues and customers to deliver a compelling offer. This market continues to change shape at pace, so the role will offer the candidate an opportunity to demonstrate speed of thought and dynamism in addressing the ever moving needs of our customers.

You will:

• Assist the category manager/Buyer in delivering the strategy, budgeted financials and supplier plans across all aspects of the imaging category
• Work with suppliers to encourage their support for your plan, including incremental investment in high footfall Travel locations
• Close working relationship with Dixons Travel store colleagues, using their expertise and customer knowledge to help deliver your vision right first time
• Report and provide analysis
• Deliver promotions, pricing, POS and range changes
• Have an input and influence in all weekly Travel trading review

You will need:

• Have an input and influence in all weekly Travel trading review
• Numerate and articulate - with strong interpersonal and influencing skills
• Computer literate - strong user of Microsoft Office applications and reporting tools
• Educated to degree standard or equivalent work experience
• Business objects understanding preferred
