Woodford Engineering Consultancy offer system engineering consultancy to the global aerospace market. THE ROLE

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing tasks through the development & certification process, in line with company and customer quality standards. Candidates must be proactive, organised, and capable of providing both technical management and inputs into effective project management. Activities undertaken may include: 

  • Requirements management (Verification & Validation)
  • Systems safety analysis
  • Conducting architecture studies
  • Coordinating and supporting systems testing
  • Certification and qualification activities
  • Providing in-service support
  • Designing and coordinating modifications
  • Conducting root cause investigations
  • Data analysis and systems modelling

 ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE& EXPERIENCE:

  • Knowledge of aircraft control & indication systems
  • Familiarity with airworthiness requirements
  • Experience in an aerospace systems engineering environment
  • Experience of writing technical reports
  • Knowledge of V&V process (experience of using DOORS desirable)

 DESIRABLE KNOWLEDGE& EXPERIENCE:

  • A degree in Engineering or similar education in a relevant field of studies
  • Chartered Engineer status
  • Knowledge of aircraft electrical systems
  • Knowledge of ARINC databuses
  • Knowledge of AFDX/IMA interfaces
  • Knowledge of ARP 4754, DO178, DO254
  • Experience of system safety analysis & software e.g. Fault Tree
  • Experience of using modelling software packages, such as MatLab/Simulink & Flowmaster
  • Knowledge of aircraft fuel, or landing gear systems

SALARY & BENEFITS:

£28-£42k DOE
